GREEN TEXTILE LAUNCHES ORGANIC COTTON WOVEN FABRIC LINE
DOMESTIC FABRIC MANUFACTURER EXPANDS ITS ORGANIC COTTON
OFFERINGS TO INCLUDE WOVEN FABRICS
SPARTANBURG, SC – July 31, 2008 – Green Textile
today
announced the launch of its new line of woven fabrics made of 100% certified
organic cotton. The new line will include a variety of offerings ranging from
chambray, flannel, twill, canvas, denim and more.
Green Textile made the decision to launch the new line based
on a growing demand for, and a decreasing availability of, organic cotton
woven fabrics produced in the United States. For the past decade Green Textile
has been producing organic cotton knits of the highest quality and standard.
"When it comes to domestically produced fabrics, we saw
that the organic woven customers were increasingly underserved.", said
John Simon, Owner of Green Textile. "With the tremendous growth of
popularity and demand for sustainable fabrics, we felt compelled to find a way
to help."
The new line will be unveiled at Outdoor Retailer and
Sourcing@MAGIC in August.
